Fort Randall Dam - Charles Mix County

Ft. Randall Dam is arguably the best place for rare gulls in South Dakota. State firsts Little Gull and Mew Gull have been observed here along with Thayer's Gull, Black-legged Kittiwake, Sabine's Gull, Glaucous Gull, and others. Ft. Randall Dam is not the best spot for waterfowl, however. Luckily, Lake Andes NWR is nearby.
