Christmas Bird Counts - 2024 - 2025

The Christmas Bird Count, organized by the National Audubon Society, occurs December 14 to January 5 and is the nation's longest running citizen science bird project. Find a South Dakota count near you and join in the fun.

12/14/2024Watertown CBC The first ever Watertown CBC will take place on Saturday, December 14. Volunteers are to meet at the Bramble Part Zoo main entrance at 7:30 for orientation and route assignments. Inexperienced volunteers will be paired with more skilled birders. The event lasts all day with break at noon for lunch, back at the zoo. All are welcome, even if you cannot commit to the entire day. Feeder watchers are also needed.
